Online Webinar as an Invitational Workshop in 2020 on Establishing National Agri-food Information System and its Utilization

Korea Agency of Education, Promotion and Information Service in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (EPIS), Republic of Korea, hosted Online Webinar as an Invitational Workshop in 2020 on Establishing National Agri-food Information System and its Utilization during 16-18 November 2020 with the participants from 6 countries, namely Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Philippines, and Vietnam, and AFSIS Secretariat. Ms. Thanchanok Pongputhinan, Assistant AFSIS Manager, and Ms. Thidarat Thammasorn, Technical Staff, are the representatives of AFSIS Secretariat to attend the online workshop. In this regard, Ms. Thanchanok Pongputhinan presented the progress of AFSIS in 2019-2020, direction of unified and developed master form for food security data collection from EPIS and AFSIS future work plan, and the representatives of 6 countries also presented the country report, the establishment of NAIS and challenges in the country and future work plan of NAIS next phase. The workshop highlighted the information of Remote Sensing Technology in agriculture, production and utilization cases of agricultural forecasting Information, current status of NAIS from 6 countries, collecting and utilization of agriculture statistic, Korean soil information system, technology for spatial information, precision and ICT agriculture using drones and so on. In this training, EPIS also included workshop on action plan for 3rd phrase Real-time AFSIS from 6 ASEAN member countries, and with the respectful and trustworthy from EPIS, Dr. Waraporn Saelee, AFSIS Manager, was invited to be one of the honor evaluators of evaluation committee for action plans from 6 countries.
