The 18th AFSIS Focal Point Meeting as the 1st time of the Focal Point Online VDO Meeting

On 09 June 2020, The Negara Brunei Darussalam Darussalam hosted the 18th AFSIS Focal Point Meeting, convened by the ASEAN Food Security Information System (AFSIS). The Meeting was held as the first time as Online VDO Conference. The main objectives of the AFSIS Focal Point Meeting are to inform the ASEAN Plus Three members the overall outcomes and achievements of AFSIS in 2019 and to discuss future work plan and issues. Whilst the APTERR had informed the meeting about its activities in 2019 and 2020 and analytic works related to AFSIS. RESTEC also attended the meeting in order to inform about Sakura project activities in 2019 and 2020. Furthermore, MAFF Japan representative presented the meeting about the future collaboration between AFSIS and the actual work plan implemented in 2020 to 2022.The representative from EPIS of Republic of Korea presented the future collaboration between AFSIS and Republic of Korea in order to improve agricultural statistic in the region. In addition, the representative from People's Republic of China informed the meeting about the cooperation of People's Republic of China roject through AFSIS in 2019 and further collaboration in 2020. The Meeting was attended by the members of the AFSIS Focal Points and participants from the ASEAN Plus Three countries, APTERR, and RESTEC.
